John Street, Chairman and CEO |
As Chairman and CEO, John Street oversees MX Logic's corporate financing strategy and business direction. With extensive experience in launching successful ventures in telecommunications and Internet messaging, Mr. Street grew two businesses to the Inc 500 list status and received Entrepreneur of the Year recognition in 1995 by Ernst & Young and Merrill Lynch.
Most recently, Mr. Street served as Chairman and CEO of USA.NET, Inc., successfully raising over $100 million in private equity financing. At its peak, USA.NET managed more than 33 million mailboxes and processed more than 70 million messages a day on behalf of its customers, including American Express, Palm, Netscape, Register.com and Goodyear. Mr. Street also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Telephone Express, a provider of long distance services, and grew the company from startup to over $60 million in annual sales before selling it in 1997. This sale resulted in a payback to the original investment partners in excess of 1,200 times their original investment over a nine-year period.
Mr. Street has served on several boards and has been involved in a wide variety of other startups, ranging from fulfillment services to direct sales and marketing ventures. He has also served on many civic boards and as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines. Mr. Street has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Notre Dame and is a CPA. |

Scott Chasin, CTO |
CTO Scott Chasin is widely recognized as a leading visionary in the messaging industry, having pioneered the development and marketing of Internet messaging and collaboration technologies.
Chasin is credited with the launch of the first Web-based email consumer service, and he delivered the first IP-based commercially hosted messaging service supporting thousands of businesses and millions of end users worldwide. He also created and moderated the first full-disclosure security discussion list, Bugtraq, and was a key contributor to the creation of the first open-source, one-time password system, S/Key.
Prior to MX Logic, Chasin served as CTO and Chief Visionary for USA.NET. The driving force behind USA.NET's technology and strategic direction, Chasin helped establish USA.NET as a leading provider of email and advanced messaging services. Previously, he formed one of the first information security consulting firms, Comsec Data Security, where he pioneered early industry efforts in computer security.
A frequent speaker at national and worldwide conferences such as Internet World, COMDEX, N+I, and ASPCon, Chasin represents MX Logic on the steering committee of the Anti-Phishing Work Group (APWG). He is also chairman of the BotNet Subcommittee for the Messaging Anti-Abuse Working Group (MAAWG), a non-profit coalition of worldwide carriers and technology providers dedicated to eradicating messaging abuse. |

Michael Lipfield, CFO |
Michael Lipfield, CFO, brings more than 20 years of financial and administrative experience to the company. Prior to joining MX Logic, Mr. Lipfield served as the SVP Finance and CFO of Tele-Servicing Innovations (TSI), an outsourcer for customer contact centers in the satellite and cable industry. His previous positions also include serving as Vice President of Finance for USA.NET; Director of Finance and Administration for MCI Direct, a division of MCI Telecommunications Corporation; and Director of Finance for PST, Inc., a marketing company in the telecommunications industry.
Mr. Lipfield is a CPA with over eight years of Big Five public accounting experience. From the University of Colorado, he received his master's degree in accounting and finance and bachelor's degree in psychology. |

Marc B. Haverland, EVP Engineering and Operations |
EVP of Engineering and Operations, Marc Haverland is responsible for oversight of software development, quality assurance, network operations and information technology for MX Logic. He has more than 15 years of experience in delivering large software applications, building and leading effective technical teams, and managing product launches and multi-year system implementations.
Haverland’s background includes serving most recently as senior director of engineering at DigitalGlobe, where he managed software development and operations of all ground systems for the satellite imagery company. Earlier, he served as vice president of engineering and operations for MapQuest.com, where he held engineering positions of increasing responsibility and during his five-year tenure led MapQuest’s technology from its startup stage to industry-leading position. Haverland’s earlier career includes senior hands-on engineering roles and technical leadership roles in both small and large enterprises, such as Sun Microsystems.

Pete Khanna, EVP Sales and Support |
As EVP Sales and Support, Pete Khanna is responsible for all externally-facing MX Logic departments, including Sales, Marketing, Customer Support Services, and Education Services. Khanna joined MX Logic in 2006 as SVP Operations and spearheaded efforts to advance the company’s operational efficiency and customer support initiatives.
A dynamic, experienced leader with a successful history in increasing sales, driving operational efficiency, building teams and establishing corporate strategy, Khanna served most recently as EVP of Inflow. During his seven-year tenure, he led sales, operations and marketing functions, managing the company’s evolution from start-up to a recognized leader in the data center industry.
Prior to Inflow, Khanna was Director of European Operations for LINK-VTC, where he executed the videoconferencing company’s expansion into the European marketplace. Earlier, as LINK-VTC’s Operations Manager, Khanna held responsibility for the development, direct management and strategic execution of the company’s operations during the business start-up and growth phases.
Khanna holds a bachelor of business administration degree in management information systems from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. |

Wei Lin, CIPO |
As Chief Intellectual Property Officer, Wei Lin brings 16 years of experience in Internet technology and 10 years of executive management experience in the Internet industry, with combined strengths in intellectual property protection and licensing, business operations, financial accounting, and business contract negotiation.
In January of 2000, Lin became founder and CEO of JiaChina, Inc. a start-up web technology and advertisement solutions provider which operates successfully as an e-commerce site selling prepaid calling cards on the web. In 1999, Lin was the president and co-owner of Internet Express, a premier Internet service provider in the Rocky Mountain Region acquired by FirstWorld Communications, Inc.. During his 3 year tenure at Internet Express, he built up a solid foundation for expansion and growth, was profitable operationally and led the company to win the Pikes Peak Region Better Business Bureau’s Excellence in Customer Service Award in the small business category.
Prior to Internet Express, Lin held several key technical and executive management positions at USA.NET, Inc., as well as conducted research at the Center for Theoretical Physics and the Laboratory for Nuclear Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Physics Department at the University of Washington.
Lin is credited with published papers in quantum field theory, nuclear physics, and astrophysics. He is the inventor/co-inventor of several Internet patents and patent applications on messaging security and serves as a member of the board of directors of the Tsinghua Alumni Association of Georgia.
Lin received his B.S. degree from China’s prestigious Tsinghua University in Beijing in 1985 and his Ph.D. degree in 1990 from Indiana University, Bloomington. |
